Manuel Melo, 39 years old, is a Call, Contact Center and Communication Service Center Projects Manager.

Manuel started to focus his career on Telemarketing, Call and Contact Center activities, in 1997, with responsibilities in creating new ways of communication, improving results effectiveness and building strong relationships with customers and citizens. In that assignment, he became involved in developing communications operations for both private companies and public administration and had the opportunity to take part in the largest and integrated multi-channel projects, working with institutions all over Iberia (Portugal & Spain).

Previously, Manuel Melo worked on Direct Marketing and Sales Communication, from 1988 until 1996.

Currently, Manuel is the Manager Director of Point Center Group – an Iberia Group that provides products, services and media for Marketing and Sales operations, focused on Contact Center and Communication Performance – with two main headquarters:
- the Portuguese Headquarter, based in Lisbon, Portugal, developing services for all the Portuguese language countries and
- the Spanish Headquarter, based in Madrid, Spain, for all the Spanish language countries.

Manuel launched in 2000 two professional portals:
- Centro de Contacto ( www.centrodecontacto.com ): Portal for all the Call and Contact Center professional community;
- PressHit ( www.presshit.com ): Portal for all the ICT – Information and Communications Technologies professionals.

In 2004, sharing the vision and the market knowledge of the European Union, Manuel managed the kick-off of four new Europe based professional forums:

- Europe Citizen ( www.europecitizen.com )
- Europe Offshoring Center ( www.offshoringcenter.com )
- Contact Institute ( www.contactinstitute.com )
